Dani Alves: Barcelona Not Scared Of Kaka’s Arrival At Real Madrid

The marauding right-back believes that his Barca side have nothing to be nervous about as Kaka’s impending arrival at the Bernabeu looms.

Barcelona right-back, Dani Alves, has shrugged off the idea that the ‘Tricampeon’ will be quaking in their boots next season because their bitter foes, Real Madrid could have Kaka at their disposal.

The Milan playmaker is widely tipped to confirm his transfer to Los Blancos this Monday, but Dani, like his compatriot Luis Fabiano, believes that the switch will benefit Spanish football greatly.

“Kaka is a great player, someone who can turn a football match around in seconds, but Barca are not scared of his arrival,” he told Marca.

“We have very good players and we are certainly going to continue fighting for all titles [next season]… although Madrid are going to be much more dangerous now.

“But it is going to be good for Spanish football. He is going to play much better in Spain than he did in Italy because over here, the style is more similar to the samba and the Brazilian way. I’m sure the fans will be enchanted by him and they will enjoy his football a lot,” added Alves.

Although Dani didn’t hide the fact that he would have preferred if Kaka hadn’t joined Los Blancos, he is still happy for his countryman.

“I would have liked it if he had joined Barcelona instead. That would have been good, no? But I am still glad for him because he is a friend of mine,” he reasoned.

“If he is happy because he has signed for Madrid, then perfect. But I would’ve preferred him to be at Barca.”

Finally, the Blaugrana right-back was asked to compare Kaka with Lionel Messi.

“Kaka is an exceptional player, but Messi, for everything he has done this season, is above everyone else. Right now, he’s the best in the world.

“But a king never loses his crown and Kaka was a former Ballon d’Or winner.”
