Joaquin Caparros - Athletic de Bilbao
Joaquin Caparros believes that his Athletic Club de Bilbao side lost in the Copa del Rey final against the best team in the world.

Iin what was a brief appearance in the press room, Los Leones' coach looked drained after seeing his team go ahead and hold their own before collapsing after the break under the relentless pressure from the Blaugrana.

Barcelona netted three times after the break to end Athletic's resistance and Caparros recognized just how good Pep Guardiola's team had been.

"We have lost against the best team in the world," he told reporters.

"I do not want to go into what happened because their talent is clear to see. The last half an hour was hard and I want to ask the fans to forgive us."

Athletic's supporters mingled together with Barcelona fans and did not stop singing or chanting even when their side could no longer win the trophy.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you. There are no other words to say [about] what these supporters have given us," Caparros continued.

"The dressing room is down because we came here with he dream of winning the title, but we have not been able to and I congratulate Barcelona."
