Fredi Kanoute Extends Contract At Sevilla
Sevilla's own website have revealed that Fredi Kanoute has extended his contract with the club until June 2012.
Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute has reached a contractual agreement with club that will see the French-born Malian international stay with the La Liga outfit for an additional 2 years.
In less than four years, Kanoute has established himself a true idol of Seville. His methodical yet stylish approach to the game has guided Sevilla down the path to success over the past five years.
Kanoute's start to the season was hindered by injury, but the forward has been making up for lost time in recent months, scoring his first hattrick and putting on some fine displays of surgical football in the league against Deportivo La Coruna and Atletico Bilbao.
The 31-year-old has stated many times that he feels very happy in Seville, not just with the club he is contracted with until he is almost 34, but the people of the city and the rich culture also play a big part in the air of comfort that he enjoys.
"I have reached the peak of my career in Seville," Kanoute revealed to the club's website.
"I am delighted to have signed a new contract with the club that has offered me so much.
"Here I am loved by the fans and the people in the club, they show tremendous appreciation.
"And now, I hope that I can continue to provide positive performances at the club and achieve goals."
