thumbnail Hello,

El Nino believes that Turkey, just like any other opponent, will be going all out to beat FIFA’s number one ranked team in the world.

Spain will be looking to make it six wins out of six in the UEFA World Cup qualifying zone when they meet Turkey this Wednesday in Istanbul.

La Furia Roja edged the Crescent Stars 1-0 last Saturday in Madrid and striker, Fernando Torres is certain that their Group 5 rivals will make life extremely difficult for them again at the Ali Sami Yen.

“We always confront games with humility but our opponents are making things more and more difficult for us each time because everyone wants to beat the [European] champions,” he said during a pre-match press conference.

“If we had to struggle so much to beat Turkey at home, it will be even more complicated on Wednesday. We have already been warned that they are a great team and they will have a lot of desire to beat us.

“But if we can win, we will take a big step towards qualification and we will have the incentive to keep on beating records,” he mused.

The Liverpool striker also confessed that he is delighted to see so much quality emerge in La Seleccion lately.

“Previously, we had quite a few problems and difficulties qualifying for tournaments. We suffered a lot but the national team have been evolving.

“We have become a great side and we hope that this will last a long time. What we have to do now is to enjoy ourselves,” he concluded.
