Barcelona President Laporta Attacks Real Madrid

In the aftermath of the rumours of Florentino Perez trying to capture Lionel Messi, Joan Laporta has launched a stinging attack on his bitter rivals.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has launched an attack on Real Madrid, following on from the rumours of a possible move to the capital for Lionel Messi.

Speaking after Barcelona's 4-1 win over Numancia, Laporta said, "They are engaging in a campaign of destabilization against us, to hide their own problems."

"It is an uneven fight," continued Laporta, "because they are relying on biased mass media institutions to spread these rumours."

Finally, the Barca president stated that "Messi is happy at Barca, and continues to show it in every game."

The Argentine had another excellent match on Saturday night, scoring two goals and providing an assist.
