Laporta And Cruyff Reflect On Barca Win
Barcelona's matches generally tend to draw reaction from Joan Laporta and Johan Cruyff, and Saturday night was no different.
Marca
Joan Laporta and Johan Cruyff, two men who are never short of an opinion on all things Barcelona, have offered their opinion on their latest win.
Laporta wasted no time in congratulating his troops, saying "After the Christmas break, the team has found its rhythm, and worked very hard to earn the three points. Mallorca made it difficult for us, with the first goal by Aduriz, but we knew how to impose our style of play and achieve an important victory. I am very proud, and I congratulate the players on their performance."
He still found time to congratulate Mallorca, saying "They do not deserve to be in the position they are in. Their board of directors has worked very hard for three years, but the results have not come their way, but today they made life very difficult for us."
Laporta then sounded a cautionary note for the yeah ahead, saying "We have talent and can finish with titles, but we will have to work very hard to win them."
Johan Cruyff, meanwhile, also refused to get carried away, stating "In January you have to confirm your form, so it is the hardest month for a coach. Barcelona is playing very well, but football is a game in which you can make many mistakes, and the team that makes the least wins. No one is free from mistakes, so one must work each day to improve."
