The Brazil international has hailed his teammate for providing a solid base between the posts and installing a confidence in the defenders in front of him.
The Germany international was named the world's best shot stopper by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) earlier this year and Dante feels his teammate fully deserves the recognition.
“We always aim to protect our goalkeeper and make sure he does not get into any difficult situations," the 30-year-old said at a press conference. "But you automatically feel confident when you know that you have the best goalkeeper in the world standing behind you.
"We are all very happy for Manuel that he was voted the world’s best and have already congratulated him on it."
Neuer has kept nine clean sheets in 16 Bundesliga appearances so far this season.
