The club's CEO has revealed his respect for the coach on the back five success-laden years at Signal Iduna Park.Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has insisted that he will under no circumstances fire head coach Jurgen Klopp.
The 46-year-old has been in charge of BVB ever since leaving Mainz in 2008 and has since guided Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles and one DFB-Pokal, achievements that have earned Watzke's complete confidence.
"I will never give Jurgen Klopp the sack, under no circumstances," Watzke was quoted as saying by Kicker.
The Dortmund director added that he remains confident Klopp will not decide to leave the club before the end of his current deal.
"Jurgen Klopp does not sign a contract and then breach it. He has never done something like that. He has a contract until 2016 and will fulfill it."
Watzke then admitted that it's inevitable BVB will occasionally lose players to other clubs due to the team's refusal to pay similar wages to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
"Players leaving Dortmund is partially related to the club's status. How many clubs are there really where no player leaves for a bigger club?
"In order to be able to keep all your players, you will have to pay wages similar to Bayern and Real Madrid."
