Boris Vukcevic released from hospital following induced coma

The Germany Under-21 attacker has been in intensive care for almost four weeks after a car crash, but he is finally beginning to make slow steps toward a full recovery.
Hoffenheim forward Boris Vukcevic has been released from University Hospital Heidelberg following being involved in a traffic accident earlier this month.

The talented youngster was on his way to training on Sept. 28 when his car crashed into an oncoming lorry. He was taken to hospital and then placed in an induced coma, and his situation was described as critical at one stage.

It is thought the incident was possibly caused by hypoglycemia. Fortunately for Vukcevic, his condition has improved over the last few weeks, and he has been moved to a rehabilitation center.

In an official statement on the club's website, 1899 head coach Andreas Muller stated: "We remain very confident in the recovery of Boris. But the situation is still very tense, so we want to continue to deal with it respectfully and sensitively. Especially for Boris and his family. "
