The former Real Madrid star is brimming with confidence in the wake of the Bavarians' DFB-Pokal win as they prepare for this weekend's league opener

Netherlands international Arjen Robben is confident that Bayern Munich is ready to start the 2012-13 Bundesliga campaign after winning its first two competitive games of the season.

The Bavarians beat rival Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the German Supercup on Aug. 12, before recording a 4-0 DFB-Pokal win over Jahn Regensburg on Monday to continue their fine start.

"We've made a good start: we've won the Supercup and the first cup match. We're ready for the Bundesliga now," Robben stated to reporters.

The Dutchman then went on to voice his satisfaction with Monday's cup win.

"Naturally we had to take the initiative, but Regensburg was really well organized. It was good to score before halftime, because it was easier after that. You always enjoy it when you succeed."

Bayern locks horns with Greuther Furth at the weekend in its Bundesliga opener.
