For the first time this season, Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben could start together when Bayern Munich face Hoffenheim.
Both wingers have spent a frustrating season largely on the sidelines, but they’ve both been declared fit and could operate in tandem at the weekend for the first time this campaign. Head coach Louis van Gaal has remained tight-lipped over whether the duo will both feature from the outset, however.
There was further good news for Van Gaal as striker Mario Gomez was also passed fit. The Germany international missed Wednesday night’s 1-1 draw in Dortmund against Italy due to a twisted knee, but he’s ready to feature on Saturday afternoon.
“It's a must-win game for us,” Luis Gustavo stated. “We’re well prepared and ready.”
FCB’s Bundesliga form has been rather disappointing this term. Presently, the defending champions lie fifth in the standings, 15 points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.
