The Bayern boss has made it clear that parting company with Klinsi was the only option left.
Karl Heinz Rummenigge, former Germany legend and Bayern Munich boss, has made it clear that he wasn't too happy with firing Klinsmann, but that there was no other option following their recent disappointing results.
"This was a really tough decision, but we had to do something. The recent results are simply unacceptable for a team like Bayern Munich," said Rummenigge on the official club website.
"The way things were going at the club and our style of play left us no other option than to part company with Jurgen. There are still five crucial games to be played and we [the board] had to take our responsibility."
Former Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Basler also had his say about Klinsi's departure.
"His biggest fault was that he promised to make every player better with his approach. That didn't work out too well for him," said the controversial Super-Mario.
