The French winger is known to be interested by a possible transfer to the defending La Liga champions, and today his representative, Alain Miglaccio, left the door open for a move by telling Marca of an amount Madrid could pay, albeit a large one.
For the same price los Blancos could break the buy-out clause of Sergio Agüero, as unlikely as him moving across the capital would be, but Ramón Calderón has already chirped that they will make two high class signings this winter.
A potential move for Ribery is certainly a complicated one, and one which Bayern would be keen to avoid, but they are concerned at some point he could ask for a transfer.
The player himself has said it would be a dream to play for Real Madrid, and recently he met with Bayern chiefs to discuss a contract renewal, but he rejected it.
Ribery is currently the second-highest earner to Luca Toni at FC Hollywood, and another interesting twist to the saga is that he reportedly wants to play with Karim Benzema.
His French international team-mate seems likely to join either Real Madrid or Barcelona next year, and Ribery would like to join him, according to the Spanish press.
If Madrid are to sign both Benzema and Ribery it is likely to cost around €100 million, but apparently they are still the two main names on the agenda.
