Are Manchester City's big bucks going to be enough to convince Bayern star Ribery to move to Eastlands?
City are eager to strengthen their squad during the January transfer window, and with the new found wealth at the club being provided by The Abu Dhabi United Group, the possibility of big money signings in January are big.
Ribery has been reportedly disheartened at the German champions recently claiming that there was a lack of quality in the Bayern side, and could see a move to City as a way out.
However, such reports are tempered by the fact that in interviews he appears relaxed and happy - not to mention Bayern's high-flying status in the Bundesliga after their Friday win over Hoffenheim.
The France international has been close to a Premier League move once, before he moved to the Allianz Arena the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool were reportedly interested in securing the 25-year-old's services.
The fee, which of course will be no problem for City manager Mark Hughes, could be as much as £20 million (€23m), and may be even more with Bayern knowing City have money to burn.
The French starlet has only been playing in Germany's Bundesliga for the last year, when he made his €20m move from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille last summer.
So far he has played at total of 37 league appearances for the German side, helping them win the league title last season and scoring an astonishing 17 goals in the process.
