The Japan boss has been linked with the Azzurri in recent months, but the 60-year-old trainer says he will not decide his future until July.
The former AC Milan boss will be in Brazil with Japan but has been heavily linked with taking charge of the Azzurri this summer should Prandelli decide, as expected, to step down.
However, Zaccheroni says that his future with the Samurai Blue will not be decided until July and that he has not had any contact with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).
"I'll wait until the end of the World Cup and I will decide based on what proposals arrive," he told Sport Mediaset XXL. "I don't even know when this call [from the FIGC] could arrive. Until now, anyway, nobody from Italy has called me.
"My intention is to decide [my future] in July, not that I know if others can wait until that time."
The 60-year-old Zaccheroni took charge of Japan in 2010.
