The Bianconeri coach was pleased with the Argentine attacker's contribution after he put in a stint as a makeshift winger.
Antonio Conte has praised Carlos Tevez for the versatility he displayed in Juventus' 1-1 Serie A draw at Lazio on Saturday evening.
The reigning champions were reduced to 10 men midway through the first half as goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon was dismissed for a foul on Miroslav Klose and Conte was pleased with the role Tevez played as the Italian champions eventually recorded a hard-fought draw.
"With the dismissal of Buffon, Tevez was temporarily used in a wide left position but returned to the front in the closing stages," Conte told Sky Sport Italia. "Tevez did well in the second half to go left when needed to stem Lazio’s attacks, then I moved him back next to Llorente for a 3-4-2.
"This squad has players who can take different roles, but generally not ones who sit in front of the defense. Claudio Marchisio, Arturo Vidal, Paul Pogba and also Andrea Pirlo are more suited to a three-man midfield."
Juventus remains first in Serie A, holding a six-point lead over second-placed Roma after this weekend's results.
