The Italy striker has apologized for his red card and his reaction to it in Friday's 0-0 draw against Czech Republic in World Cup qualifying
Balotelli, 22, received two bookings in four minutes from referee Svein Oddvar Moen as a needless challenge on Michal Kadlec was followed by an arm striking Theodor Gebre Selassie in the face.
The AC Milan striker reacted angrily to the sending off, punching and kicking the walls of the tunnel before heading into the dressing room.
After the game the forward tweeted: "Write whatever you want, but in the Confederations Cup cheer for another nation. I tell you that from my HEART. (And watch the game again. ALL OF IT.)"
However, the attacker apologized on Saturday.
"... Good morning ... Yesterday my reaction wasn't right, I apologize ... SORRY ... To my team ... I have to learn ... Still ... ," he tweeted.
Czech Republic was unable to make its numerical advantage count and the match finished all square, leaving Italy at the top of Group B, four points ahead of second-placed Bulgaria.
