Conte wants Juventus to smash points record

The Italian is bullish in respect to his side's last two Serie A fixtures despite already being crowned champions

Juventus coach Antonio Conte wants his side to smash the current points record for the club in Serie A with two wins in its final two games.

The Bianconeri currently sit on 86 points - five points behind the total that Fabio Capello's charges reached in 2006, though that Scudetto title was stripped from them over the subsequent match-fixing scandal.

After securing the Scudetto last weekend, Conte does not want his players to take their feet off the gas pedal and push for to break the club record.

"We want to try and continue what has been done so far, and finish the season in the best possible way," the 43-year-old told reporters at a press conference on Friday. "We need two wins for an important record, so that will be an additional motivation for us. If we can beat that it will be cause for further satisfaction.

"Last year we had a beautiful ceremony, so I urge the fans not to invade the pitch at the end of the game. We want to raise the trophy in front of our fans. We want to celebrate all together in the best way."

Juve's final two games of the campaign are at home to Cagliari this Saturday and then away to Sampdoria eight days later.
