The Slovenian keeper was in sublime form as he made a string of impressive saves. After getting a hand to the ball to deny Marquinho a simple finish, he went on to thwart Destro and Florenzi with astonishing reaction stops.
Only brought into the starting line-up shortly before kick-off following the pre-match injury to Cambiasso, the right back proved a worthy replacement. He initiated and finished a brilliant move for an exquisite opening goal.
Used his experience to calm the play when Inter got on the ball, playing simple horizontal passes that helped his team retain its advantage in the first half. He dropped in to help protect the three-man defense frequently too.
Never seemed to get going after sitting out the weekend loss to Cagliari due to suspension. He did not get at Torosidis enough and subsequently failed to provide enough service to his strikers from the left.
Stood up his opponent and forced them into making the first move, though this failed to be enough in the second half as Roma ramped up its movement in the final third. He lacked awareness as the visitors turned the game around.
The experienced center back put in an unforgiving performance at the back. He regularly put his body on the line for his team but lost Destro as he raced in to equalize after the restart.
The young Brazilian was perhaps too adventurous when playing as part of a back three. He was fortunate not be be caught out of position on a few occasions and did not help maintain solidity in Inter's defense.
Struggled to keep up with the play when not on the ball, failing to provide his defense with adequate protection. He did not show an awful lot of desire to get forward either and failed to contribute anything positive to the game.
The Croatian enjoyed a decent start to the game as he dropped deep to pick up the ball and showed an impressive level of vision when moving it forward. His influence waned in the second half though as Roma pushed for an equalizer.
Seems to be growing in confidence with every performance after another impressive outing. His lively dribbling made Inter a real danger on the counterattack and he scored a much-deserved late goal.
The veteran was left isolated at times as Alvarez dropped off the front so that he could dribble forwards. However, his movement was impressive to set up Jonathan's goal though his touch let him down in the area a couple of times.
Could not do much to keep Jonathan's well-placed finish out of goal in the first half and stood idle as Alvarez netted a late consolation for Inter. He was not tested often, but when he was he did not inspire confidence.
Kept a close watch on Schelotto in the first half and did not allow much past him at right back. He was far less conservative after the break and scored a superb goal to wrap up the win for his team.
The Brazilian international read the play impressively and seemed to know exactly where the ball was going. Such interceptions were crucial to stifling Inter's attack and making the visitors difficult to break down.
A solid performance from the young center back as he kept a close watch on the experienced Rocchi. He did not allow himself to be out-muscled or outwitted by the Inter attacker.
Did not see enough of the ball in the first half to make an important contribution, but he improved after the restart. His pass into Destro for the equalizer was weighted to perfection and helped send his team into the final.
Another tireless performance from the American as he hounded the opposition when his team was not in possession. He pressed intensely but lacked creativity and craft higher up the pitch.
D. De Rossi
The Italy international battled relentlessly in midfield but did not spend an awful amount of time on the ball. A rare venture forward turned out to be key to his team's second goal as he spotted Balzaretti's run.
Drove forward from midfield during the early exchanges, almost supplying an assist for Marquinho in the third minute. He almost scored on the stroke of halftime but saw his shot saved by Handanovic and he did not return after the break.
Dropped into holes in the middle of the pitch to gather the ball and try to pick apart the opponents. Unfortunately, he could not find the killer ball and his delightful flicks failed to provide any substance to his team's attack.
Showed plenty of attacking intent down the left. He initiated a quality move early on and was only denied a goal by the hand of Handanovic. However, defensively he struggled against Alvarez and was thus shifted into midfield.
The former Inter youngster was bright all evening as he consistently tried to break in behind the defense. His persistence paid off as he ended the game with two goals, the first of which was a delightful finish.
Brought on in place of Ranocchia with three minutes remaining.
Replaced Schelotto in the 64th minute and played a role in reinvigorating Inter's midfield, though it came a bit too late.
Came on for Kuzmanovic with just over 15 minutes remaining and provided a lot more energy to his side.
Came on for Destro in the 70th minute as Roma looked to see out the game. His pace proved dangerous on the counterattack but his team could make nothing of it.
Brought on for Florenzi at the interval and maintained the attacking intent of Marquinho, who was subsequently allowed to exert his influence in midfield. A great run and simple pass saw him set up Destro's second.
