The veteran attacker donated the dog to a rescue school at the birth of his first son, and the animal has helped save two human lives near the shores of Civitavecchia
Roma star Francesco Totti's labrador has saved an eight-year-old girl and a 64-year-old man who were in danger of drowning, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports. The animal, named Ariel, was donated at young age and was trained to become a professional sea rescue dog.
The accident happened around noon in the Sant'Agosto area where the girl found herself in trouble some 20-30 meters away from the shore due to the strong wind.
The man was also exposed to the difficult weather conditions and was even further off the shore, but Ariel and its trainer managed to spot the danger and intervened.
The labrador previously saved the life of a young woman back in July 2008.
