Diego Milito: Inter wants to bounce back next season

The Argentine expressed his disappointment with his side's performances this term, but assured that he and his teammates will fight for silverware again next season.

Diego Milito is desperate to move on after a disappointing 2011-12 campaign with Inter, and is confident that the Nerazzurri will bounce back next term.

The Giuseppe Meazza side had to settle for sixth spot in the Serie A table this term following Sunday's 3-1 away loss against Lazio, and Milito has urged Inter to focus on the future rather than look back on the last nine months.

"We're looking forward to next season. We're disappointed because we really wanted Champions League qualification, but we have to look forward," Milito told Inter Channel. "Our targets for next year? To be in the mix right up till the end playing for the objectives we're accustomed to.

"We'll get off to a good start next term and at least we ended this season well, apart from the [Lazio] defeat. We must represent Inter as well as we can. We'll try to do well in Serie A and also in the Europa League."

Inter will start its European campaign next term in the third-qualifying round of the Europa League as Coppa Italia finalists Juventus and Napoli have already secured their respective berths in Europe.
