Roma captain Francesco Totti is a major worry for Friday's Serie A match at Udinese, Ansa reports.

The 35-year-old had only returned to action in Roma's 2-1 victory against Lecce on Sunday after spending one month on the sidelines with a thigh strain.

However, Totti left Wednesday's training earlier with an ankle complaint and will undergo a scan on Thursday to learn the gravity of the problem.

Meanwhile, Marco Borriello will most likely sit the match out with a muscular problem in his left thigh, while Aleandro Rosi and David Pizarro are both in doubt.

Roma currently sits fifth in the Serie A standings with 17 points from 11 games, while Udinese is fourth with 21.
