The Argentine star has attempted to quell talks of his side being serious title contenders after an emphatic win at San Siro, but insists that it will carry on growing in stature
Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi has urged his team not to get carried away with its 3-0 victory over Serie A rivals Inter on Saturday, but feels that they are on the right path.
Walter Mazzarri's men produced a fine second half display to down the struggling Milanese giants at San Siro, instantly sparking calls that Napoli can relive its past title glories.
However, the former San Lorenzo man is keen for his side to remain grounded and maintain its progress.
"It's an important victory, but it is only three points," Lavezzi was quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb after the game. "We must remain calm, but also enjoy this victory [while we can]. [Talk of the] Scudetto? We have to continue to show our credentials in every game, but we are growing as a team and must press on."
The Argentine forward also dismissed suggestions that his heel injury on the night could potentially be serious, simply replying when asked the question, "I'm fine."
Napoli moves to top of the Serie A standings after its win, but awaits the results of its league rivals on Sunday.
