The Brazilian striker made a substitute appearance last week when the title was clinched away at Roma and is now fit enough to play upfront alongside Robinho from the start.

Newly crowned Serie A champions AC Milan have recalled Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato to the starting line-up for their final home game of the season against Cagliari.

Pato, who has had his fair share of injury troubles this season, came off the bench last week in the scoreless draw against Roma at the Olimpico that saw Milan clinch their 18th Scudetto title. He starts upfront alongside Robinho at the expense of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri also brings defender Mario Yepes into the back four alongside Thiago Silva, Urby Emanuelson into the midfield for his compatriot Mark Van Bommel and Massimo Ambrosini for Kevin-Prince Boateng.

AC Milan starting XI: Abbiati ; Abate, Thiago Silva, Yepes, Zambrotta ; Gattuso, Ambrosini, Emanuelson ; Seedorf ; Pato, Robinho

Cagliari starting XI: Agazzi ; Perico, Canini, Astori, Agostini ; Biondini, Nainggolan,  Lazzari ; Cossu, Acquafresca ; Missiroli
