Inter are plotting an exchange deal with Parma by offering them full-back Davide Santon in exchange for Cristian Zaccardo, according to reports in the Italian media.

La Gazzetta dello Sport
claims that the Nerazzurri want to sign the experienced Zaccardo on loan for the rest of the season.

The 29-year-old right-back, who can also feature as a central defender, joined Parma in the summer after a season at German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg and has previous experience in Serie A with Bologna and Palermo.

Inter have struggled with defensive injuries this season and although they have already signed highly rated centre-back Andrea Ranocchia from Genoa in order to compensate for Walter Samuel's absence, it is believed that they want to further reinforce their back line.
