ROMA

Julio Sergio: 6 - Had no chance of saving either of Udinese's goals, but was otherwise fairly untested as he made a handful of routine saves.

Cassetti: 5.5 - Difficult evening for the full back against Di Natale, who pulled the entire Roma defense all over the pitch, but he coped adequately.

Juan: 6.5 - No crisis of confidence after conceding a penalty against Livorno. Looked calm and collected at the back, and kept the threat of Floro Flores to a minimum.

Burdisso: 6 - More authoritative than Mexes, although less comfortable on the ball, but he was dominant in the air and nearly added a fifth goal in injury time.

Riise: 4.5 - Struggled to deal with the threat of Sanchez, and he failed to clear his lines at the free kick that resulted in the equalizer. Fortunately for his side it didn't prove to be costly.

Faty: 6.5 - Hoisted in the ball that led to Toni's goal but while he was solid enough in midfield, he offered little defensive cover for Riise.

Perrotta: 5.5 - Lazy on the ball as he was caught in possession on a number of occasions while he also often gave the ball away cheaply.

Brighi: 6.5 - He pulled down Sammarco to concede the penalty, but as his team-mates tired towards the end, he found a reserve of energy to keep Roma's midfield together.

Menez: 9 - The real Menez was on show tonight, as he superbly set up two of Vucinic's goals, won the penalty and was even covering defensively as he showed a tremendous work rate.

Vucinic: 9.5 - His superb hat-trick won the game for Roma. Doubled the lead with a superb finish from the edge of the box before dispatching a penalty to put the hosts back in front, and wrapped up the game with a calm finish.

Toni: 8 - Excellent turn and shot to score the opening goal, and his power and strength offered the Giallorossi an alternative option up front.

Substitutes:

Andreolli: 6 - Came on to shore up the defense, allowing Cassetti to push further up the pitch.

Pettinari: N/A - Promising cameo from the talented youngster.

Tonetto: N/A - Replaced Vucinic late on.

UDINESE

Handanovic: 6 - Could do nothing about the first three Roma goals, and pulled off a stunning save from Burdisso's header in injury time.

Isla: 5 - Needlessly conceded a penalty for a foul on Menez, just minutes after Udinese had equalized. Rarely offered an option for Sanchez on the overlap.

Zapata: 5.5 - Beaten too easily by Vucinic as he tried to shepherd the striker away from goal, but only opened up the angle for the Montenegrin to score.

Lukovic: 5 - Needed to be stronger as Toni held him off with ease before opening the scoring, and offered Vucinic far too much room.

Pasquale: 5 - Offered little protection on the left hand side as Menez often had the beating of him, and his frustrations were evident as he conceded several free kicks.

Sammarco: 6 - He won the penalty that put Udinese back in the game, but he also passed up a gilt-edged opportunity in the second half.

Inler: 5.5 - His performances continue to belie his reputation as a great talent in the game, as he failed to exert his will on a makeshift Roma midfield.

Asamoah: 6 - Comfortable on the ball but a wild shot early on seemed to dissuade him from making many more forays forward.

Sanchez: 7.5 - Always a threat down the right hand side as he tore apart Roma's left flank. Could have been a bit more selfish inside the penalty area.

Di Natale: 8 - Nonchalant penalty and was always trying a clever ball to cut the Roma defense apart. Scored the equalizer in the second half, but his team-mates couldn't take advantage of his inspiration.

Floro Flores: 5.5 - There were few opportunities for him to take advantage of inside the penalty area but his movement was poor.

Substitutes:

Pepe: 5.5 - Brought on with a view to limiting Menez's creativity in the latter stages which he conspicuously failed to do.

Lodi: N/A - No real time to get involved.
