The representative of Palermo midfielder Fabio Simplicio admits that his client could have joined league-leaders Inter, but the moment was not right to do so.

Gilmar Rinaldi believes that with the Nerazzurri, there were other options that the team was considering.

"The accord with Inter also involved the team considering other players, and not just Fabio," the agent revealed to TMW. "Nonetheless, we are very satisfied with the interest shown in Fabio by such a big club as Inter.

"At the same time, though, Fabio is happy with Palermo and is ready to fight for the Rosaneri.

"We evaluated the offer, and decided that it was not the time to close out this deal. As for Roma? There is no deal with them, or any other club.

"Now, we shall wait until the end of the season and evaluate what the best solution is for the player," concluded Rinaldi.
