Brescia Striker Flachi: I'm Not A Cocaine Addict
The Brescia man is sorry for the positive drug test but insists he is not addicted to cocaine.
Brescia forward Francesco Flachi has spoken out since testing positive for cocaine in a random drugs test following the Rondinelle's clash with Modena last month.
The 34-year-old former Sampdoria and Fiorentina man was not long back from a two-year ban he received in January 2007, after testing positive for the same substance.
Flachi is quoted in Corriere Dello Sport as saying, “I'm not an addict. I'm just someone that in certain situations of life is wrong.”
The veteran went on to apologize to his team-mats and said that he will be concentrating on his home life from now on.
'The only thing that interests me right now is my family,” he said. “I do not care about the rest. I'm not an addict and I will not be painted in this way. I'm sorry for my team-mates, the chairman and the supporters of Brescia.”
