Mourinho: Pandev Could Make Inter Debut Against Chievo
The Inter gaffer has said that Pandev could make his debut in Wednesday's match in Verona.
Reigning Italian champions Inter lock horns with Chievo on Wednesday evening and Macedonian forward Goran Pandev could well make his official debut for the Nerazzurri.
"Pandev will be available for us right from the beginning. He's a very modern striker with exceptional qualities. He can play in a formation with two strikers, but also with men up front," said Mourinho to Corriere dello Sport.
"He worked great during yesterday's and today's training sessions and I will talk with him about how we expect him to play for us. He will have to find back his dynamic style of play and the intensity of being on the pitch, but I think that he will adapt very quickly.
"His situation is completely different from Wesley Sneijder's situation when he arrived at Inter. Wesley had gotten plenty of playing minutes at Real Madrid, while Goran has been out of action for about five months except for some games with Macedonia's national team."
Inter will have to make do without star striker Samuel Eto'o due to his African Nations Cup obligations, but Pandev appears to be ready to fill in for the Cameroon forward.
