Report: Gennaro Gattuso Set To Turn Down New Milan Deal
The midfielder is unconvinced by the terms of the new contract and could join Man City in January.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, the contract renewal that Serie A side AC Milan have offered midfielder Gennaro Gattuso is likely to fall on deaf ears.
Rossoneri chief executive Adriano Galliani revealed this week that the club have presented the want-away 31-year-old with a contract extension that would see the Italy international end his career at the San Siro.
But the former Rangers man is reportedly against spreading out his wages over the rest of the contract term, as suggested by Galliani, and the newspaper claims he will wait until after the Christmas break to give the Diavoli a final answer.
But all indications seem to point to Gattuso heading for the exit door after spending a decade in the Lombardy capital. It has been suggested his most likely destination is English side Manchester City, particularly if former Inter boss Roberto Mancini takes over from Mark Hughes at Eastlands.
