Amantino Mancini: I’m Not Leaving Inter

The out-of-favor Brazilian is adamant he is working hard to force his way into Mourinho’s plans.

Inter winger Amantino Mancini has reiterated he has no intention to seek a move elsewhere during the January transfer window, despite being way down the pecking order at the San Siro and notching up only six appearances in all competitions so far this season.

There had been reports the 29-year-old could re-join Roma in the new year, the club he left in the summer of 2008, but the Brazilian seems unwilling to throw in the towel.

“I am settled in Milan and want to keep playing for Inter,” he told Sportitalia.

“The important thing is to stay calm and work well, so that I will make the most of the first chance I will get.”

Teenage striker Mario Balotelli has come in for criticism after allegedly turning up late to training which prompted boss Jose Mourinho to send him to the stands for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina.

“Balotelli is fine,” insisted Mancini. “He worked well throughout the week without suffering any physical problems.”
