Abete: Juventus-Inter Match To Be Suspended If Balotelli Is Abused

Italian FA president Giancarlo Abete talked about the upcoming Derby d'Italia between Juventus and Inter.

The Derby d'Italia between Juventus and Inter is one of the marquee matches in Serie A this weekend. There are some concerns about the encounter in Turin though, as some authorities fear there might be more abusive chants from the Juve fans aimed at Mario Balotelli.

Talking about this match, Federcalcio president Giancarlo Abete wanted to focus on the technical aspects instead of the Juve fans.

"Let's talk about the technical aspect," he said, as quoted by Goal.com Italia. "Juve-Inter will be a match between two big teams and we hope it will be a good match.

"If what we fear were to happen, we will apply the federal norms and the match would be suspended for ten minutes."

When the teams met in Turin last season, Balotelli scored the opening goal in a 1-1 draw, and was jeered by the home fans throughout.
