Roma Down Lazio 2-0 In Primavera Derby
The Lupetti were victorious in the Primavera derby on Saturday afternoon.
With just over seven days to go until the Derby della Capitale, the Primavera outfits of both Roma and Lazio came head-to-head this afternoon as they did battle in their own version of the highly contested encounter.
According to Forzaroma.it, the Giallorossi ran out 2-0 winners over their cross-town rivals thanks to goals from Andrea Bertolacci and Fabio Zamblera.
Roma took the lead shortly before the break when Bertolacci slotted the ball home following an inch-perfect cross from Stefano Pettinari. The Lupi then doubled their lead on 69 minutes when former Newcastle United starlet Zamblera headed home from an incoming free kick.
With the main performance drawing near, this afternoon’s dress rehearsal will certainly give the Lupi’s senior squad some added confidence as they prepare to inflict further misery on the troubled Biancocelesti next weekend.
