Roma coach Claudio Ranieri could call on key midfielder Daniele De Rossi after the midfielder came through training unscathed on Friday.
Romagiallorossa.com reports that De Rossi trained regularly alongside the rest of his team-mates today as they prepare for Sunday's trip to Atalanta, skipping only the final practice match.
The 26-year-old will need to wear a protective face mask after being elbowed by Inter's Patrick Vieira during the 1-1 draw on November 8, while he has also needed to undergo surgery for a renal colic problem.
However, it appears that he will be able to line up in a defensive midfield role alongside David Pizarro this weekend.
It is thought that Ranieri will employ a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Francesco Totti leading the line ahead of Jeremy Menez, Mirko Vucinic and either Simone Perrotta or Rodrigo Taddei.
Juan is also likely to be left on the bench, with Nicolas Burdisso and Philippe Mexes lining up in the heart of defence.
