Agent: David Beckham Suffers From Asthma
Becks' long standing problem has nothing to do with on-field performances.
LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham has been suffering from asthma since he was young, claims the player's agent Simon Oliveira.
The 34-year-old was pictured using an inhaler during the club's recent loss to Real Salt Lake in the MLS Cup final, where the Galaxy lost in a penalty shoot-out.
While the agent admitted that Beckham was suffering from asthma, he insisted that it has never had an adverse effect on the performances put in by the Englishman.
"David has suffered with this since he was a young boy but it has obviously had no effect on his performance," Oliveira stressed to The Daily Mail.
"He has never sought to make it public but if it does inspire any sufferer to think they can achieve great things like many other sportsmen have done then so much the better."
The veteran star played through pain in the MLS Cup final, as he needed three cortisone injections to get through the game that his side lost 5-4 on penalties.
