Thiago Silva: Milan Playing With Personality

The Rossoneri have had a highly encouraging few weeks and their Brazilian center-back thinks they are developing a character all of their own.

Milan defender Thiago Silva expressed his satisfaction at the goal he scored against Lazio at the weekend, a goal which paved the way for his side’s 2-1 win at the Olimpico stadium.

The player also admitted that he was teased in the dressing room about the own goal he scored for the Biancocelesti, with his team-mates jokingly claiming that he had scored a brace.

“I scored an important goal for the team and for the group,” declared the Brazilian player to Milan Channel.

“In the dressing room they teased me as they said I scored a brace [he laughed].

“The important thing is that we played well and with personality. It’s difficult to play against teams like Lazio who possess quality players, who shoot well, but in the end we won and this is the most important thing.

“With regards to myself, I’m happy to work well, everyone speaks well about me and I’m happy about this,” he concluded.

Milan are sitting in third place in the Serie A standings with 22 points, two points behind Juventus and seven behind leaders Inter.
