Goals from Mirko Vucinic and Samuel Eto'o helped to share the spoils at the San Siro.
"We were concentrating very hard, and a draw is the right result," Perrotta told Roma Channel post-match.
"We saw that tonight, like [Inter coach Jose] Mourinho said, the points difference between the two teams does not matter.
"There is still time to climb the ladder.
"It is a shame that we continue to have injury concerns [this time, midfielder Daniele De Rossi], but the team shows character and positive signs because it plays for the ball.
"The ladder? All you need are three or four wins, and you can climb to the top.
"It is a equal championship, and you always need to hope that other teams falter around you," the Italian international concluded.
