Serie A Team Of The Week: Round 11
Goal.com looks at the best performing players from the 11th round of the Serie A calendar.

Formation: 4-4-2
Goalkeeper
Nelson Dida (Milan): Christian Abbiati may find his starting place has been taken when he returns from injury. The Champions League winner made two world class saves on Blerim Dzemaili and Valeri Bojinov on Saturday.
Defence
Maicon (Inter): The Brazilian once again showed why he is the best right-back in the world, constantly threatening Livorno and killing off the match with a superb left-foot shot from the edge of the area.
Ivan Cordoba (Inter): A wall at the back for Inter in their win at the Stadio Armando Picchi. The 33-year-old has been performing well since coach Jose Mourinho put him in the line-up and is a great servant for the team.
Mario Yepes (Chievo): There’s a Colombian pairing in our Best XI defense today, as the evergreen Chievo center-back also features. His equalizer was the icing on the cake during a very strong display at the back. Organised and physical.
Juan Vargas (Fiorentina): Playing against his former team, the Peruvian was simply unstoppable - almost able to carve open the Catania defence at will when marauding down the left-hand side.
Midfield
Marco Marchionni (Fiorentina): The former Parma winger was impressive for the Viola. He scored a great long range strike and also had another well-taken finish. The Viola need more performances like this from the midfielder.
Marek Hamsik (Napoli): The Slovakian is fast becoming Serie A’s best attacking midfielder. His brace against Juventus took his tally to seven for the season. He is definitely the jewel in Walter Mazzarri’s Partenopei outfit.
Andrea Cossu (Cagliari): This isn’t the first time Cossu finds himself in our team of the week, and for good reason. He has become the irreplaceable playmaker for coach Massimiliano Allegri and showed his vision with two assists for Nene.
Jesus Datolo (Napoli): His entrance for the injured Hugo Campagnaro completely changed the game around in Turin. Great pace and presence down the left, he assisted the first, before scoring the second himself. It’s the match all Napoli fans have been waiting for from the Argentine!
Attack
Nene (Cagliari): His two quick-fire goals showed he is developing into a much better player. Even his own coach gave him a standing ovation when he was removed in the second half as the Rossoblu earned a crucial three points against a relegation race rival.
Marco Borriello (Milan): The striker recently revealed that he considered quitting football after a serious injury, but he proved he still is capable with two fine goals against Parma. The first he latched on to Ronaldinho’s through ball and slipped it under Antonio Mirante and the second was simply spectacular – his overhead kick in injury-time left no chance for the Gialloblu shot stopper.
