Bologna 2-1 Siena

Adailton gave the hosts the lead with a strong run and a well placed shot that found the far corner after 15 minutes. Pablo Osvaldo then got on the scoresheet for the hosts in the second half, heading home Lanna's cross in the 59th minute.

Emanuele Calaio pulled one back late on for the visitors, but it was too little too late as the Rossoblu record a much-needed victory.

Catania 1-2 Chievo

The visitors took the lead in the 32nd minute through Andrea Mantovani's effort, but he missed a penalty minutes later to double their advantage. It was costly for the Flying Donkeys, as Giuseppe Mascara converted a spot kick for the hosts to equalize just before half-time.

Michele Marcolini gave the visitors the lead again with 20 minutes to go with an excellent strike. Takayuki Morimoto was sent off in the final minutes to compound a miserable evening for Catania.

Genoa 2-1 Fiorentina

It appeared as though parity would last until half-time, but Raffaele Palladino scored in the 43rd minute to give the hosts the lead somewhat against the run of play. The Viola came back in the second half through former Juventus winger Marco Marchionni, who converted Manuel Pasqual's cross in the 63rd minute.

The Grifoni retook the lead in the 74th minute after Rodrigo Palacio's ball found Giandomenico Mesto, who finished confidently. Genoa held on to record a crucial victory over one of their rivals.

Lazio 0-1 Cagliari

Lazio's poor domestic form continued as they went down to the Rossoblu. Neither side could take the lead in the first half, but Alessandro Matri put the visitors in front in the 50th minute, and the Biancocelesti proved incapable of finding an equaliser.

Livorno 1-0 Atalanta

The hosts were on a high after beating Roma in their last game, and went ahead in the 68th minute through Leonardo Miglionico's header. It was the only goal of the game, and it gives Livorno their second win of the season - both coming under new coach Serse Cosmi.

Parma 2-0 Bari

It took almost an hour to open the scoring, but Valeri Bojinov's incredible strike was certainly worth waiting for. Alberto Paloschi then doubled the lead, showing good strength to hold off a challenge before beating the 'keeper. Both sides have started the season well, but Parma's impressive home form continues as they enjoy a spell in the upper echelons of the Serie A table.
