Tonight Milan came very close to earning their third consecutive win in Serie A against Napoli, but two very late goals by the Partenopei allowed them to equalise a match that seemed lost.

Coach Leonardo found it hard to explain why his side gave away a 2-0 lead in the dying minutes.

"It's not easy to give explanations for matches like this," he said to Sportal.it. "Certainly we started how we wanted to, by attacking Napoli, perhaps we scored those two goals too early, after that it's tough to control the result for 85 minutes.

"We suffered, then we did well, then from the 88th minute a lot of things happened, certainly also [Ignazio] Abate's sending off had an influence, perhaps I could have taken him off before, but that's easy to say afterwards... However, we are aware we gave a strong performance.

"It's just too bad the victory slipped away, for the rest I don't see many differences with our last few games, even though this time we were the ones who were pegged back."

On Ronaldinho's substitution, he said: "Dinho wasn't happy about the substitution? I hope he wasn't, it's always a positive sign, with him I have a good relationship, I've already spoken with him. It's good that he wants to be on the pitch, he is growing."
