Fiorentina are preparing for their upcoming Serie A fixture against Roma, at the Stadio Olimpico in the Italian capital this weekend.

In the lead up to the match, the Viola’s attacking starlet, Stevan Jovetic, has made it clear that his side are determined and confident about achieving a positive result on Sunday.

“We are and we also feel a lot stronger than this time last year,” Jovetic explained to Corriere dello Sport.

“On Sunday, we will try to achieve a great result at the Olimpico, something that we failed to do last year.”

The Montenegrin then looked ahead to his side’s next Champions League fixture, which will be played against Liverpool. Alberto Gilardino is suspended for that encounter, meaning that Jovetic could play alongside Adrian Mutu in attack for the Viola.

He continued, “Irrespective of what people say, I think that Adrian and I could play well together.

“We have a good relationship, so I believe that we would be very threatening in attack.”
