Milan's new attacking signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has set the record straight, in that he wants to repay the Rossoneri hierarchy for the faith that they have shown in him.
Missing out on the first match due to suspension, Huntelaar was able to play a part off the bench during the second half in his team's 4-0 loss to rivals Inter.
Now, he has the opportunity to start, and the 26-year-old wants some room to do his magic.
"I now expect a lot of room to move, and hopefully a starting place," he said to Sport.it.
"But in order to do this, I need to work hard, and the only way I can do this is to play."
The former Ajax and Real Madrid player will have a battle on his hands, as he will be facing tough competition from the likes of Marco Borriello, Pato, Ronaldinho, all of whom are fighting to start for the red and black.
Milan play Livorno when the Serie A resumes.
