Ibrahimovic Stunned By Milan's Display Against Inter
Inter may have been impressive in their local derby, but the club's former striker was more surprised by Milan.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic sat down to watch his former team-mates play in the local derby at the weekend and was not impressed by what he saw ... from AC Milan!
The Swedish striker moved to Barcelona over the summer and was keen to see how Inter would fare without him, but in the end he was left stunned by the Rossoneri as they lost 4-0.
As Jose Mourinho's side swept to victory it was the level at which their city rivals played that left Ibrahimovic wondering what has happened.
“I saw my old team-mates in the derby game,” he told Italian reporters. “What made the biggest impression on me? Milan…
“It is incredible that they have been reduced to this.”
Ibrahimovic's former coach Mourinho was at Camp Nou to witness the striker score on his league debut for Barcelona against Sporting de Gijon and is well aware it was a scouting mission ahead of the Champions League.
“I know that he was at the Nou Camp to watch us play,” the forward added. “He will be studying all the methods by which to stop us.”
