Leonardo: It Was Important For Milan To Win Today
Milan coach Leonardo commented on his team's important 2-1 win away to Siena.
Following the important 2-1 away win against Siena tonight, Milan coach Leonardo was visibly satisfied as he commented on the match in an interview with Sky Sports.
"I think what I feel is unimportant, what matters is how the players feel, even though I admit I am happy," he said.
"We have built a solid basis, today it was very important to win and we did. Ronaldinho is originally a second striker, but he can also be a playmaker. The judgment of him cannot be independent from that of the team.
"What matters is how the team plays together, I don't like to talk about individual players, even though [Alessandro] Nesta is immense, he is a symbol of this new Milan. But everyone did well."
The victory will certainly give the team a big boost in confidence after a disappointing series of performances during the pre-season, and ahead of next week's derby against Inter.
