Moggi: Inter Will Win Scudetto, Fail In Champions League
Moggi predicts a good league season for the Nerazzurri, but another disappointment in Europe's most important competition.
Former Juventus director Luciano Moggi spoke about Inter and their chances of winning both the Serie A title and the Champions League.
According to Moggi, following the departure of forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Barcelona, the Nerazzurri should have signed different players as they need to change their gameplan now.
"Inter, despite losing the Italian Super Cup, remain a strong team," declared 'Big Luciano' to ilsussidiario.net.
"I don't want to repeat myself, but this year they will be forced to change a lot. With Ibrahimovic they had available a player who would lead the team, but with [Diego] Milito and [Samuel] Eto'o, they have two important but different players.
"Now the team must play and support the attackers. In Peking the attackers were too isolated and I think that this is the proof that the midfield does not work.
"However, even like this it is enough to win in Italy, but not in the Champions League."
Inter will start their title defence on Sunday evening as they host Bari at San Siro.
