The Cameroonian forward appears to be on the verge of reaching an agreement with Inter.Contract negotiations between Inter and prolific hitman Samuel Eto'o have been going on for a while now, but an agreement appears to be on the horizon at last.
The Barcelona man's agent, Josep Mesalles, initially refused to speak with the Italian press, but he has now made it clear that he's optimistic about the deal after meeting with Inter's Rinaldo Ghelfi.
"We'll proceed negotiating tomorrow. There will be another meeting, but I'm very optimistic that we will reach an agreement in the near future. Even though there are still a couple of things that need to be discussed," said Mesalles to Sky Italia.
"Eto'o wants to move to Inter and he'd be happy to join the club. We've made some great steps forward since yesterday. We're not there yet, but we I think we can complete the deal on Thursday."
Not Settled Yet
Eto'o is allegedly seeking a pay-off from Barcelona. This news was followed by a report that the Blaugrana may be willing to remove Eto'o from the deal altogether and simply pay for their Inter target, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
