VIDEO: Leonardo Reacts To AC Milan Draw With Galaxy
The coach of AC Milan thought the game was exciting, but had some justifications for his squad after the teams finished all square.
CARSON, California -- AC Milan's players, such as Clarence Seedorf, may not have known the name of a single Los Angeles Galaxy player other than David Beckham before the friendly match began, but it was clear after the 2-2 draw that at least a few of the Major League Soccer players had left an impression.
AC Milan coach Leonardo commended the fitness of the players in the American league, while pointing out that his own squad had yet to work themselves into top game shape.
Despite this, it was AC Milan who jumped out to a lead twice in the match, on goals by Thiago Silva and Filippo Inzaghi.
However, the Galaxy were able to reel them back both times by finding a goal. Alan Gordon and Brian Jordan notched for the LA club.
Leonardo praised his players in general, but he may be looking more critically at preformances as the preseason tour continues and he must decide what his ideal starting eleven for the season will be.
