Despite signing a new contract with Fiorentina this week, Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo continues to be linked with a big-money move away from the club, with Arsenal, Juventus, and Real Madrid reportedly showing interest.
The player's representative,Umberto Fusco, is pleased with all the attention his client has been getting, but insists he will remain in Florence.
"The fact that Melo is worth all that money is a great honor. First of all the club must be happy, because their [original] investment of €8 million has already been repaid," he suggested to Firenzeviola.it.
"He wants to do well, with all the players, in a project that is being well received."
Fusco, however, did not rule out a move after next summer's World Cup in South Africa.
"Fiorentina are not thinking about selling him now, I think they agree it is better to wait to see what happens after the World Cup, both for them and Felipe."
