Report: Inter Want €40 Million For Maicon

Real Madrid and Chelsea are monitoring the situation of the defender, but will need to shell out a pretty penny for his services.

Inter full-back Douglas Maicon has recently suggested he could leave the club, after his agent revealed that the Nerazzurri were not paying enough attention to his client.

Chelsea and Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing the Brazilian international, but Inter would like a hefty sum if they are to release the 27-year-old.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Maicon will cost any suitors €40 million as he is considered a key figure in the line-up and was one of their best players this past season.

Recent stories suggest that Real Madrid are willing to offer midfielder Wesley Sniejder in exchange, but Inter would still like another €20-25 million in addition to the Dutch maestro.

Maicon made 40 appearances for the Nerazzurri this past season and will be taking part in the upcoming Confederations Cup with Brazil.
