thumbnail Hello,

The Rossoneri grabbed a dramatic victory over Lecce earlier tonight, to ensure that they remained comfortably in third place.

Milan recorded a 2-0 victory over a struggling Lecce side at the San Siro stadium, thanks to late goals by Ronaldinho and Pippo Inzaghi.

The result means that the Rossoneri remain in third place, with a four point buffer over their nearest rivals Genoa, making it all the more likely that Champions League football will be on the agenda for the club next season.

The three points attained were therefore extremely significant, in terms of achieving their ultimate goal this term, something that Pato affirmed at the conclusion of the match.

“We have taken three very important points from this match,” Pato declared in an interview with Sky.

“I was very happy to help my team achieve this feat tonight, and we are all very pleased with the result.”

The young Brazilian was without doubt the most dominant player on the pitch, despite the fact that he squandered several opportunities to break the deadlock.

“I missed a number of opportunities that could have ended the game earlier; however I am happy that others, such as Inzaghi, did the job.”

Pato made one final comment in regards to the Brazilian national team, and his opinions on his exclusion from Dunga’s team recently.

“I have to respect the coach because he is my coach. All I can do is try my best.”
